Bangalore is a capital city of Indian state Karnataka, and is also known as ‘Silicon Valley Of India’. Along with being a capital city, it is also a major hub for Information Technology sector in India, which made it one of the top 10 preferred entrepreneurial locations in world. Airports:

Bangalore serves total three airports viz Bengalore International Airport, HAL Airport (Air Base) and Jakkur Airfield (Flying School). These airports are more than enough to serve the need of everyone.

BIAL is an international airport serving the city. It is 4 km to the south of Devanahalli and 40 km away from CBD of city. It is a fourth busiest airport in country, serving a traffic of 12.69 million passengers.

HAL Bangalore International Airport is used for testing facility by Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, and Indian Armed Forces. It serves both Domestic and International flights, and it was replaced by Bangalore International Airport at 24th May 2008. It has separate check in sections for international and domestic arrivals and departures.

Jakkur Airfield is a general purpose airport in Bangalore, serving the city. It is the madien airport dedicated to general aviation field in Bengalore, whereas the remaining airports are either private, military or dedicated to commercial operations. It also provides facilities for flight training, and area giving on lease for private parties and maintenance activities.
